The Groove.cm free account deadline
If you have a free Groove account, December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern is the date to know. This page lists what is already restricted, what the deadline means and what your options are. Last updated September 15, 2026.
What is already restricted
The restrictions did not wait for December. From the transition announcement on September 3, 2026, a free Groove account can no longer use:
- The dashboard and product management
- Managing your own pages, emails, memberships, blogs, videos, webinars and stores
- Data export
What stays free:
- Signing in
- Affiliate participation and the affiliate promotion tools
- Profile, security and billing history settings
- Support access
What happens on December 31, 2026
Scale.gg’s transition page says that free accounts that have not upgraded by 11:59:59 PM Eastern on December 31, 2026 may have their data permanently deleted and become unrecoverable. Treat that as a hard deadline: there is no stated grace period.
Your three options
- Upgrade to Pro at $95 a month or $795 a year. This unlocks everything, keeps your data, and gives you all 27 Scale.gg apps with 2,500 AI credits a month. Paid plans have a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- Upgrade briefly, export, then cancel. Data export is only available to paid and qualifying members, so if you only want your data out, one month of Pro is the cost of an export.
- Let it go. If the account only ever held test pages, the affiliate features stay usable for free and nothing else needs doing.
Lifetime members: this does not apply to you
Qualifying GrooveLifetime members have no renewal requirement from this transition. They keep GrooveSell, GrooveMail, GroovePages and GrooveVideo, get lifetime access to the Scale.gg replacements for GrooveKart, GrooveMember, GrooveBlog and GrooveWebinar, and receive eight additional apps: HDHelpDesk, FunnelMapper, QuizFunnels, PipeLeads CRM, PipeLeads LeadFinder, Invoicer, CalendarBug and LocalSpark.
Paid subscribers: nothing to do
Existing qualifying paid subscriptions continue under their current plans, with access matched to the subscription level.
Where to check your own account
Log in at app.scaleplus.gg (see where to log in to Groove now) and look at your billing history to confirm which type of account you have. If you are on the free tier and want to keep what you built, upgrade well before the last week of December rather than on the day.
